For my materiality project at school I has been corroding and oxidating etching steel and printing the patina left on the plate. I have been using Copper Sulfate, Bleach, Lemons, Ferric chloride, acetic acid and various other not-good-for-you chemicals and household toxins (except lemons though. Lemons rule. Cut that shit up and rub it on your face!).

This video is of a small patch of a 160cm x 60cm plate that I left in a bath of CuSO4 (Copper Sulfate). The patina, when wet, is that dark brown, but when it dries it turns a poisonous yellow. This is when the hair-dryer comes in.

I'll get some photos of the BIG prints soon enough.
